The “evidence-based practices” to be used in our facilities’ education and/or treatment programs.
RFS uses the Matrix Model, Motivational Interviewing, and CBT to educate and/or treat individuals. The model is based on interventions and activities used in the Matrix Model, an evidence-based treatment for substance abuse developed for the Behavioral Health Recovery Management project by Richard Rawson, Ph.D. and Michael McCann, M.A. This model provides an integrated treatment experience for drug and alcohol users through a cognitive/behavioral approach, using a motivational interviewing style, and supplemented with contingency management.
